And please don't make fun of me (or michelle ;) ) but this is our current obsession...

  1. I don’t think that violence is as big of a problem as the overall sedentary lifestyle that is growing. “Where I Come From,” we didn’t grow up with video games, we worked and played outside. It’s sad and irresponsible for parents who allow children to live in front of a screen and become wider than they are tall. You may think I’m joking, but as a life guard, I have seen my fair share of kids who are socially, emotionally, and physically alienated or troubled because their parents didn't teach them discipline. Although we grew up watching our favorite superheroes, westerns, war movies, and covert spies on television, that didn’t make us the violent villain- we only aspired to be like the great selfless legends. One of the greatest battles we are facing these days is against poor parenting- parents who don’t care enough. Now, I’m not saying that you can’t enjoy an occasional video game or movie, but get outside and do something with someone- it’s a lot more fun.

  2. Whoa whoa whoaaa. You can't be posting embarrassing stuff on the internet without my permission! Das jus rude.

  3. Good sources! I can't wait to read your paper.
